Overview
Community perceptions of dementia are likely to impact detection and early diagnosis of dementia as well as the social experiences of people living with dementia and their carers. This work aimed to conduct surveys of hospital outpatients to explore community perceptions regarding timing of diagnosis disclosure, knowledge of risk factors and symptoms of dementia, and the perceived impact of dementia.
